I love this! Things like concerts and going out with friends was something I found myself doing before I got divorced, so it didn't feel so strange. One thing I do is leave at least one day a month to do absolutely nothing. The goal is to only leave the house to walk the dog. I never realized how tired I was all the time until I was separated. I feel less and less guilty every time I take a day like that.
Thank you Kelly! I love that you have a do nothing day, and allow yourself to rest. Tuesday's I go to therapy and after allow myself to do whatever I need. I choose not to work and tend to myself.
I love this for you, Siobhan! Yessss, shine your light, blind folks with it if you need to! haha I do or have started a lot of the things you have on your list that is helping me heal and grow. One other thing I do, though, is tell the truth more often about my feelings in the moment as well as bringing up past times (in a productive way) that still affect me/the relationship and the person may not know. It really does help our communication when we tell the truth even when its uncomfortable or may hurt. I remind myself to do it in love and keep it productive, or keep it in the journal until I am able to.
Thank you Ashleigh! I love that your being honest about your feelings, that's not always a thing to do. I appreciate you reading and sharing your process of doing your inner work.

When I first started therapy, I did the same thing. It was really helpful.
