I learned this in adulthood in therapy but one of the main ways I protect my energy is by implementing strict boundaries at work with coworkers and my schedule . Not allowing to be on any teams of org support projects that take away from my primary job responsibilities and limiting time socializing with coworkers during work hours and outside of work
Ooh, I felt this! Every time I went against my intuition when I felt someone was .. off .. I regretted it. I’m really great at reading people and reading how their personhood would interact with mine and now I know better than to go against my intuition.

Setting boundaries has been a game changer. Kudos to you for taking care of yourself in a professional setting because that’s not always easy to do.

I can so relate! I had another situation I talk about on my podcast where there were several signs that I totally ignored until I couldn’t anymore.
