I’m really focusing on what I want in life.
I’ve mentioned before that I’m starting fresh and my desires have changed. I believe strongly in the power of manifesting.
When I set my mind on something, it often seems like magic how things fall into place. I’ve experienced this time and time again, and sometimes it even surprises me when my desires become reality.
We have the power to shape our lives, but sometimes we let others influence our decisions, whether it's society, family, or friends. We need to remember that it's our life, and we only get one shot at it.
For more than half my life, I let others guide and control my decisions, and it wasn't a good feeling. Now that I'm in my forties, I don't want to waste any more time on things I don't want or people who don't make me feel good.
Getting What You Want
First and foremost, you have to be clear about what you want in life. Just like when you decide what to wear or what to eat for dinner, you need to decide what you want for your life.
You know your desires better than anyone else, and you have the power to manifest what you want. Next, you have to believe that you can have whatever you want.
Nothing is too big or too small. You want what you want for a reason.
Here's a short list of what I am manifesting in my life:
Moving to NOLA in 2026 once my son graduates high school
Speaking at Essence Fest
Becoming debt-free
Traveling state-to-state and country-to-country
Being in a loving, healthy relationship
Having beautiful, glowing skin
Traveling frequently for work and play
Owning a bookstore and coffee bar
Ensuring my kids are happy and pursuing their passions
The key to getting what you want: you have to believe and speak as if what you want has already occurred. Because I believe it, I am now training my subconscious mind to believe it as well. I recommend reading "The Power of the Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murray to understand this concept better.
Your thoughts are crucial in creating the life you desire. They turn into beliefs, and those beliefs shape your reality. If you believe in something, you're more likely to make it happen.
Many people are reluctant to express their desires out of fear of not getting what they want. However, playing it safe might be what's holding you back from reaching your full potential. You're the architect of your life, and you deserve the best.
What Has Worked For Me
I make sure to surround myself with people who support my dreams. They don't necessarily have to understand my dreams, but their support is important to me.
I often write down my desires on paper and emotionally connect with them. I also display them in my home to keep them visible and constantly remind myself of what I want. It's a good idea to keep a journal specifically for the things I'm trying to manifest, so I have everything in one place and can read my desires daily.
I speak my desires out loud whenever I think of them, and I even record voice notes reciting my desires.
I believe with all my being that I can achieve what I want, and I expect things to happen.
I don't get too attached to the outcome; I just keep moving forward as if everything is unfolding exactly as it should.
I believe it's important to express the thoughts and desires that we often keep hidden. We all have dreams and aspirations that we may hesitate to share.
However, it's essential to acknowledge and pursue what truly drives you and pull on your heartstrings. By embracing your desires and daring to voice them, you can begin to shape your life accordingly.
It all begins with reshaping your thoughts and beliefs, ushering in the potential for transformative change, and living your life on your terms.

Things Worth Sharing…
It’s annoying to burn incense and the ashes won’t stay in the holder. I grabbed this one and it’s been a lifesaver
I bought some beautiful sunflowers and I’ve been smiling everytime I look at them. This is a reminder to buy yourself some flowers or even a new plant.
I started watching Pop The Balloon, Finding Love on YouTube and I am hooked. Have you seen it yet?
