Living Life
Last month, I was outside. :) I danced, saw art, attended festivals, laughed, and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Living my life and doing what makes me feel good is new for me. For most of my adulthood, I was focused on being a wife and a mother, and I didn’t live my life, I lived for other people.
Now that I am in this new beautiful phase of my life, happily divorced and living on my own terms, I get to discover how I want to show up in the world.
I will continue to remind you and myself, that we can do our inner work, heal, grow, and have fun.
This is my year of curiosity and I am learning a lot about myself and the woman I am becoming.
New Job
It’s wild to believe that it’s been ten years since I’ve worked for anyone else. I was permanently laid off in 2023 and shortly after I started my own personal development company, BeFree Project. I’m in a space of dreaming a new dream and discovering what I want to do next. In the meantime, I was offered an amazing opportunity to work part-time at Adun Spice Co.
I happily said yes because it would allow me to be around other creatives, be in a social setting ( I love to talk, it’s the extrovert in me), and improve my cooking skills.
Now that I am living on my own and I am cooking more, I want to have fun in the kitchen. I’ve purchased several spices and picked up a few cookbooks from the library so I can try out new recipes.
I am most excited about working at Adun Spice Co. because I get to learn about food and spices.
If you have some good recipes or cookbook recommendations, please share them with me in the comment section. Thank you in advance :)

Some more good stuff…
I watched Father’s Day: A Kirk Franklin Story and I cried and cried. My heart ached for Kirk and what he experienced both as a child and as an adult.
I’ve been vibing to both of Cleo Soul’s new albums.
I’ve made this Chicken Pot Roast twice and it’s absolutely delicious. It’s definitely gonna be a Fall/Winter staple in my home. The only change I made was I added red skinned potatoes. If you try it let me know what you think.
