Let’s talk about a story we’ve all told ourselves at one point or another: “It’s too late for me.”
Maybe it crept in when you considered changing careers. Maybe it whispered in your ear when you thought about leaving a relationship that no longer felt like love. Maybe it screamed at you when you started imagining a life that felt freer, fuller, yours.
But let me remind you of something:
That story? It’s a lie.
I get it—starting over can feel scary, especially when you’ve invested so much time into your current life. It’s natural to wonder, “Have I missed my chance?” But the truth is, as long as you have breath in your body, you have time.
Think about it: Some of the most incredible women have started over later in life and created lives that reflect who they truly are.
• Viola Davis didn’t land her breakout role until her 40s.
• Toni Morrison published her first novel at 39 and won the Nobel Prize for Literature at 62.
• Ava DuVernay didn’t direct her first film until she was 32—and her career took off in her 40s.
Their stories aren’t just inspirational—they’re proof that reinvention is always possible.
The same can be true for you.
Maybe you’ve been holding onto a life that doesn’t fit anymore because you feel like you’re “too far in” to change course. Or maybe fear has convinced you that you’re not ready. But, let me tell you: Your future is too precious to let fear have the final say.
It’s not too late to:
• Leave the relationship that’s drained you for years
• Pivot into a career that actually excites you
• Move to that city you’ve been dreaming about. ( I am moving to NOLA next year :)
• Finally prioritize your own peace, joy, and freedom
The hardest part is often taking that first step. But what if you didn’t have to do it alone?
