I’ve started this email over several times trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to say.
Here’s the thing… the month of August has been stressful AF. Period.
And there were several moments when I felt like I was losing my way.
I didn't have the capacity to write a newsletter or record a podcast because I had to preserve all of my energy for myself.
I decided that it was time to get a new therapist to support me on my self-discovery journey and yet another identity shift that I am experiencing.
As you know, I've gone to therapy in the past, but it was always to deal with the relationships I've had with others.
This is my first time going to therapy solely for myself. I've only had a few sessions, and I have already learned some useful tools to help me navigate my life.
Therapy is tough though because I can see how I’ve been hiding parts of myself and now everything is coming to the surface.
In the midst of me working on me, my Granny transitioned. And I've been processing my grief while doing my inner work.
So again, I am finding my way back, and I am being tender with myself.
The other day I was thinking about how in the past it would take me weeks maybe months to recover from something and now my recovery time is much shorter.
And for that I am grateful.
We're all going through something, and I want to encourage you to be gentle with yourself and find tools that will support you when you're feeling overwhelmed.
I see you.
I am here for you.
And we're doing the work to be free together.

One thing that I’ve been into lately is listening to binaural beats and it’s been very soothing to my soul. Here’s a playlist you can check out. Let me know what you think.

Hi Siobhan. Thank you for sharing your recent newsletter. It was a good reminder that we need to take time for ourselves. I’m sorry to read that your grandmother transitioned and hope you and your family find comfort during this time.
