Several years ago after I read the book Untamed, I went through my closet and got rid of most of my clothes.
I kid you not, I had several garbage bags full of clothes that no longer aligned with the woman I was becoming.
I started to feel a shift while reading the book and my old clothes represented a version of myself that I no longer felt connected to.
All I knew was I wanted to look sexier and feel good in my clothes.
Back in 2021, I worked with a personal stylist, and the items that were chosen for me were clothes I wouldn’t have chosen for myself, and I loved all of them.
And that was the start of my new wardrobe, and over the years, I’ve been rebuilding so that everything in my closet sparks joy.
A few weeks ago, I was going to a skate party, and I wore a body suit for the first time, and I was a little hesitant about wearing it.
I asked my friends what they thought, and of course, they all gassed me up and told me how good I looked.
So I wore it, and I felt so good in it.
Over the years, I’ve had insecurities about my body, and I wore clothes more so for comfort as a mom and not as a woman.
Part of my inner work is to feel confident in my body, embrace being sexy, and feel good inside and out.
Some of the things I've been doing are taking more pictures and videos of myself. I have been buying clothes that show off my body and express how I want to feel.
Feeling good starts from the inside, and I encourage you to check in with how you feel about your body, hair, clothes, appearance, etc.
If there's any part of yourself that you want to change, upgrade or simply be better, then let be your focus and lean into that.
You deserve to feel good.
