A few weeks ago I was meeting a friend that I haven’t seen in several years for brunch and one of the first things she said to me was, “You are glowing.”
“You are glowing” - is the best compliment ever.
I remember when my light was dim so the fact that people are now acknowledging my glow means everything to me.
As we were eating and catching up, I had a full-circle moment while sipping my strawberry margarita.
I was actually sitting in the dream I manifested ten years ago.
We both used to work at the same bank together but in different departments.
When the weather was nice, I would walk around the pond every day by myself thinking about how I wanted to be free.
Free to simply have lunch in the middle of the day and have complete control over my time.
And as I sat there with my friend, I was living in my manifestation.
A rush of emotions came over me, and the one thing I kept thinking was, this is what freedom feels like.
It’s not about how much money I make. It’s not about being in a relationship. It’s not about the type of home I live in or the car I drive.
For me, freedom is a feeling. I am doing what I want to do when I want to do it.
It’s an amazing feeling to no longer feel like I’m stuck in a cage.
Caged by my marriage.
Caged by my relationships and friendships.
Caged by the church.
Caged by myself.
I’ve been doing the work to break free of all the cages I’ve been stuck in.
And please know I am still doing the work, however, my work looks different because I am more free now.
My friend also shared something very profound with me, she said that she had always known I was too big and bright to be working at the bank.
She said she could just see it and she wasn’t surprised by how I am living my life now.
I talk to a lot of people and I am noticing a pattern.
Many people are stuck in their own cages and can’t even see it.
I was stuck for years and I didn’t even know it.
And what it felt like was being in a deep sleep, tossing and turning but sleep.
Slowly I began to wake up, after attending a personal development conference, upgrading my friend circle, going to therapy, and reading Untamed.
I looked at my life and saw the ways I was caged, and slowly I began waking up.
Being asleep in your life is a scary thing and yet I see so many people in a similar place that I was in.
I look at my life now, and I am like, “Damn, Siobhan you did that.”
I am so proud of myself for deciding I no longer wanted to be caged and I wanted to be free.
Being stuck, it's a feeling, and only you know how it feels.
There are some parts of your life that you want to be different, and it feels off.
You can't quite put your finger on it, but you know it doesn’t feel right.
Lean into that feeling. Explore it. Spend time with yourself.
Then decide that you will do whatever it takes to get out of your cage so you too can begin to glow and be free.
In today’s podcast episode, I am challenging you to look at your life and explore whether are you free or are you caged.

Let’s chat: In what areas of your life do you feel caged?
This is totally random, but I’ve made this Strawberry Cake three times in the past month and it’s so delicious that I wanted to share the recipe with you. If you make it please let me know how you like it. Here’s the recipe.
If you were inspired by today's email, and want to be kind and show your support, I'd be delighted for you to treat me to a cup of coffee. Thank you!
I also made the cake, a funny story. I used salt thinking it was sugar 🤦🏽♀️ but when I used the right ingredients, It was delicious! It was sweet but not overpowering and light. Besides, strawberries go bad quickly, so it’s the perfect way to use them.
I love this question. I believe I’m in the transition of becoming free. The thing about my freedom is it’s more a force breaking the bars of my cage but I’m learning how to embrace the process.
